I actually found this book to be my least favorite in this series so far. My expectations for Stephanie Laurens are very high so take that into consideration when reading this review. Her books have always kept me on the edge of my seat, reading through the night because I couldn't bear to put the book down. This one didn't do that for me. The coming together of the main characters happened way too early in the book so the rest of the story was mundane. It lacked drama, excitement, and intrigue compared to her other books. HOWEVER, it was still a good book as is any book that she writes!

It's like Sherlock Holmes meets Sex and the City. I enjoyed the romance story, but the murder-intrigue was much more interesting than I originally had thought! I'm not one for murder/mysteries, so for me to have enjoyed it, is really saying something!
I love all her books. I've read all the Cynster series and I'm working on the Bastion Club series now. And, it all started because I got the wrong book from a Paperback Swap club member. Thank you.
The series of the Bastion Club was very good. It kept you in suspense throughout the entire series. I enjoy all Stephanie Laurnes books.
This was the first of this Series that I read. I loved it so much I have started reading the rest of them. Great suspense and love story.

Wonderfully romantic escapism novel. The Bastion Club is a group of English gentlemen returned from the wars with Napoleon who all must marry. They form the Bastion Club and buy a residence in which to meet and share info on prospective brides and which debutantes and managing future mothers-in-laws to avoid. Of course there are mysteries which lead them to meet women they most likely would never have met in Almack's Assembly Room. The struggle between strong willed men and women ensue with lots of torrid romance thrown in.
i have reallt enjoyed this whole series.it keeps you on the edge of your seat.Sthphanie Laurens is really a awsome writer in love stories
Was a slow and hard book to get through for me... a bit disappointed.

As the series is coming to an end, I believe this is one of her best.
