Reeve is a kidnap survivor. She also survived being raped and tortured for 4 years, from the age of 12 to 16, before she was rescued. Several years have passed and she is still trying to put her life together.

The book was good, at times exceptional. I really liked Reeve. She's a young woman still trying to find who she is and I enjoyed watching her grow stronger.
The only criticism I have is with the ending. The storyline builds to an explosive situation .. and then it just kind of stops. It was a bit abrupt and I was left wanting something a little more.
This is first in a series and I will not hesitate to read the next one WHAT DOESN'T KILL HER.

This was a very engrossing read---full of great characters, action and evil. Alot of these suspense books have the main character to be a policeman, detective or FBI but this one was different. This one was a victim who had been kidnapped and held hostage for four years who was sent to help another young girl who had experienced a similar scenario and excaped just recently. If you like reading about a strong heroine, a creepy villian and lots of action, you won't be disappointed and the ending will leave you breathless. A+++
oh my goodness! This book is chilling, thrilling, disturbing & so suspenseful! I could barely breath while reading the last 50 pages. Not for the faint of heart, but if you like a good thriller, this is for you.
Great fast read that keeps one intrigued and on the EDGE of your seat just as the title promises.
