Edge is an Immortal out for vengence towards Frank Stiles who has been busy hunting Immortals, keeping them alive, until he gets all the unique blood he needs. Amber Lily is part human and part Immortal. She is also hunting Stiles but for different reasons than Edge. Though Edge has vowed to never get tied down to one woman, Amber intrigues him. Sparks fly.
Engaging characters, a suspenseful plot, and erotic interactions between the two main characters make this a must read. I really enjoyed it, reading it in one afternoon.

Great! Maybe the best Maggie Shayne Twilight series I've read. Amber-Lilly, half vampire, half mortal needs the formula Frank Stiles made from her blood to save a friend who is dying from cancer. Edge, vampire loner, has hunted Frank Stiles for forty years. He wants revenge because Stiles killed his small band of immortals. One wants him dead, the other needs him alive. Complicating the issues, Amber Litty is pregnant. Loved the story.

I really enjoyed this book. This is the first Maggie Shayne book I have read and I have already added several more to my wish list. The story catches your attention early on and carries you through to the end. The last chapter brought tears to my eyes.

Edge and Amber Lily's story: Edge is seeking revenge against Frank Stiles, the scientist who killed his band of fledgling vampires 40 years ago. Amber Lily is looking for a cure for her friend Will's cancer and believes that Stiles has a formula made from her blood that will heal Will. The two meet at cross purposes but are pulled together by overwhelming feelings. Many of Shayne's vampires from previous books make an appearance here. Good book- feels like a satisfying end to the series.

Vampire boy, half-vampire girl love story. Complete with evil genius adversary.
I'd like to say it was a little too sentimental and a bit much romance for me, but it's a romance novel, so I can't complain.
There's lots of action and suspense so it did hold my attention.

An imaginative vampire romance. Very enjoyable.
If you like vampires and are looking for a new author give Maggie Shayne a try, this novel is part of the "Wings of the Night' series and is a great read.
