The story begins with Olivia Paras being hauled to the White House in the early morning hours by a Secret Service detail, without knowing what is happening. There are reporters gathered outside her building and the service has to get her through them - the reporters are yelling questions at Olivia, the Executive Chef at the White House, about events of which she knows nothing......... And the action just keeps going. This was definately a "can't put it down" book. Great details about the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Can't wait for her next book in the series, as well as her new series, "The Manor of Murder Mysteries." This book has a preview of the series and it sounds really interesting. Julie Hyzy has become one of my favorites!

Julie Hyzy gave us another hit in her Olivia Paras White House chef mystery. Like her others I couldn't put it down. With all her characters that you so wish you could meet to the bad guy you are not sure of till the end she tells a n engrossing story. I'll be sure to pre-order her next. I give it 5 stars!

The White House staff is planning the annual Easter Egg Roll. The death of a distinguished guest at a dinner presents obstacles to their completing the huge task since they are barred from the White House kitchen. Olivia has her Mom and Nana arriving as guests as well.
Add the Secret Service, CIA, and NSA and this book is quite a thriller. A Washington columnist and other politicians are also in the mix. Almost when I thought I had solved the mystery, the book turns and finishes in an unexpected way. Funny too, Secret Service in bunny costumes, LOL!

Another great White House mystery! Hope this series continues................
Another great mystery with Chef Ollie once again in the thick of this "eggciting" mystery. It's no "yolk" what happens in the White House when one of the president's guests is murdered.

I just love these books. The heroine is spunky and smart, trusts her intuition, and gets into situations that make perfect sense. It's a lot of fun peeking inside the White House kitchen, too.
