A good book that keeps you reading. I bought it last night, started reading it this morning, and finished it just a few moments ago. Definitely a good read.

Eve Duncan's daughter, Jane Macquire, is having an art show in Paris when strange things start happening. While talented, she receives an offer far beyond its worth for a painting that stems from wierd dreams. She calls it "Guilt." It seems that the painting resembles a figure a secret cult worships. How can she have seen their temple? Members of the group start stalking her, killing some of those around her. Jane is convinced that she must discover how and why she is becoming a victim. As the fear builds she gathers those she trusts around her including Caleb, who has powers that can kill without touching, and Jock, a trained assassain that has become a friend. Can she find the answers she needs? Of course, Eve and Joe Duncan become part of her supporters. Fast moving and an easy read.

I just couldn't get into this book. I think its because it was another book where Jane is in trouble and everyone has to gather to save her. I like when the books revolve around Eve and her mysteries.

I will give this series one more book to see if I will continue.

I rate this as just an ok book. To me, Jane just wasn't very likeable. She spends most of the book imperially ordering others around. I want a heroine I can admire, not one who turns me off with her behavior.
