The wealthy Mr Septimus Depping was found murdered in his study, yet the man who came to see him just fifteen minutes earlier, had never left the house--and for a very good reason: he, too, was dead! The evidence showed that while waiting to kill Mr. Depping, the murderer had calmly eaten his victim's dinner. That gave the famed crime-solver Dr Gideon Fell some food for thought. But before he could serve the killer up to Scotland Yard, there would be another course of murder--unless the good doctor cooked up a very rare scheme. ( from the back cover)
