This book is truly the math book of my dreams. I first saw this with my coursework for my graduate studies in middle school mathematics. This is THE book I have always been looking for in terms of developmental steps in learning math.
I recommend this book to all math teachers. There is also a great website link to all of the blackline masters (graph paper, dot grids, ten frames, arrays, etc...)
The author was the guest speaker at a recent conference and shortly there after he passed away - very tragic for our mathematic community!

Five stars!
