Although this story is good --Angela Hunt is always good, I don't think it had the edge some of her other novels have had such as the debt. I thought the story was a little too predictable and I guessed the conclusion long before the books final page. Sigh I guess my favorite Hunt book aside from Heavenly Daze is still The Debt.

Although this book is editor deprived in regard to hurricanes, Gulf Coast geography, and bridges crossing Tampa Bay, it is still a page turner. The story line is quite unique and very enjoyable reading.

I enjoyed this book. It kept me interested and I kept anticipating the outcome. I was a little surprised at the ending but it did make sense and was an appropriate ending.

In the path of a very devastating hurricane, three very different women find themselves trapped in the elevator of a high-rise office building. All three conceal shattering secrets-unaware that their secrets center on the same man. The betrayed wife, the determined mistress, and the fugitive cleaning woman.
Angela Hunt has become one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint me. From beginning to end it gathers momentum and tension builds and ends, with what I thought was a surprise ending. Once I started reading, it was hard to put down. I would definitely recommend this book.
