Janet Evanovich is working her way up the numerical scale and I hope she never stops. In the 11th of her series, Stephanie Plum, intrepid bounty hunter quits her job in search of a more satisfying career. Crammed with loveable and laughable characters, 11 on Top is a fun read.

This is the first book I've read out of her "Plum" series, but I don't think you really have to read in order. I like Evanovich books because to me, they are an easy, fun read and Eleven on Top didn't disapoint. Can't wait to read her other books.

Great read. Again Janet Evanovich keeps you going with Stephanie Plum and all her antics. If you haven't read any of the Stephanie Plum series, this one is a great one to start with. Once you read it, you'll be hooked and want to read all of them.

Yep. Cars blow up a lot. Donuts get eaten. And even though I've been there and done that, there were parts that made me laugh hard. So all in all, a pretty good Stephanie Plum novel. Mind you, it is about as nutritional and deep as a jelly donut, but hey, jelly donuts are good.

In each of the Stephanie Plum novels, I laugh all the way to the end, but there is also suspense and the element of whodunit, and of course there is always Lula, the best sidekick in all of the mystery genre! Should Stephanie stay in her job as a bounty hunter? Only #11 in this series can tell.

Just as good as # 1-10...all the usual stuff, but the characters are as funny as ever. Great beach books -- when I'm reading them, I flash back to being a Jersey girl reading on the beach, big hair, three coats of mascara, and a cousin named Vinnie...

Another great Stephanie Plum novel. This one has plenty of Grandma Mazur, a funny scene with a wedding cake food fight, and Stephanie spends time with Morelli and Ranger. A quick, fun read.

Oh my God.. I waited forever for this book to come out in paperback and I was NOT disappointed. Typical Stephanie Plum novel full of laughing-out-loud humor, spicy sexual tension, thrills and again, laughs. If you haven't read any of the Plum series, it's fine to start in the middle (author provides good recap of main character's situation) but it's more fun to start with #1 and work your way through. Enjoy!

This is another great chapter in the life of Stephanie Plum, catastrophe after catastrophe, laced with hilarious snippets. If you like Plum, I HIGHLY recommend this one!

One of the best in the series. More suspenseful than usual. A real treat.
More fun with Stephanie Plum. This time she tries other jobs on for size, having quit bounty hunting (well, officially, anyhow). Stephanie at the drycleaners, Stephanie at Chick-in-a-Bucket, Stephanie in trouble (of course). More good Ranger/Morelli (what's a gal to do??) tension... and just a fun quick read.
Another exciting chapter in the life of Stephanie!
fantastic story - I'm hoping Stephanie Plum works until she is as old as her Grandma
Stephanie continues to get in trouble even when she decides she doesn't want to be a bounty hunter.
More Stephanie Plum, more crazy, more fun. I love this series, and they just keep getting better. Now she tries working for Ranger, and ooooooh! How can she keep resisting him? Gotta read this one.
Can these books get any funnier?!! Wait until you read what happens with Lula and Stephanie at the local dry cleaners and imagine this happening in your neighborhood.
Stephanie quits bounty hunting....oh yeah, right!

Stephanie Plum quits, she knows there's something else for her to do, the bounty hunter business to only help Lulu out in capturing those who jumped the bondsman. Another great stephanie plum--bounty hunter klutz romp!! She's trying to quit, though. She's tired of her life being on the line, her cars being blown up, having people shoot at her, break into her apartment and otherwise threaten her. Will it stick? Find out, by reading this one.
I love her books. This one is just as good as the others. She is quits being a bounty hunter. She goes thru jobs the way she goes thru cars. You won't be able to put it down and you won't be able to stop laughing
Note: Full size hardcover book! Continuing Saga of Stephanie, Ranger, Morelli, Lula and the gang. Stephanie actually quits her job as a fugitive apprehension agent. After trying the button factory, the cleaners and the doughnut shop, she ends up working for Ranger....yep!
Typical Stephanie Plum. I enjoyed it. You gotta wonder, though, how long can she keep this up? Resolution has to come and I'm thinking it's gotta come pretty soon.

This is a hilarious series of funny storied books. I read one book and then had to find them all.
Unfortunately Janet doesn't know how to turn on the heat for the romantic side of her stories... and how come Stephanie is never compensated for her losses, and is always just an out of luck victim?? Her new brother in law could be suing these guys for her.

I LOVED this one-- Stephanie & crew their best!
I found this to be the worst of all the Stephanie Plum series. Very ho hum, no spark, what happened to the humor that was present in the first 10? Don't think I'll be buying #12
If you've been reading the Stephanie Plum novels - then no more words are necessary! Another fun one!
Of course this was great! All I need to say is that it was written by Janet Evanovich and it is a Stephanie Plum novel. Don't read this book if you don't want to laugh out loud!!

Not my favorite Stephanie Plum, but still good. Mmmmm Ranger.....
If you haven't read any Ms Evanovich books, you don't know what you are missing. She is funny and interesting. Her books are "can't put down" books. I love them all. There is alot going on in these pages and each page is a smile for your heart. You don't have to read them in order, each is a story on their own.
very funny and light mystery
If you like Stephanie Plum stories then you will like this one. It is funny as usual with the same story line that you expect in all of these books.
Evanovich continues the laugh-out-loud series with version 11. Stephanie Plum, New Jersey Bounty Hunter, is an accident waiting to happen while she rescues and is resued by the two men in her life. This series has plenty of attitude and great characters.
Another great Stephanie Plum adventure!
Even better than the last! Wonderful series. I would (and do) recommend it to all of my friends and family.
Poor Stephanie is thinking her career as a fugirive apprehension agent has run its course. She's been shot at, spat at, cussed at, fire-bombed, mooned, and attacked by dogs. Time for a change. Fun reading!!!

Stephanie Plum has not gotten one tiny bit less interesting and less funny as this series moves on. A great romp!
This was an excellent book, as most in this series are. I really liked the twist the overall plot took with Stephanie taking on a different job. I think it opens up the series to many more enjoyable possibilities! The ending didn't have as much of a punch as some of its predecessors, and I really hope Evanovich continues on with the series.

Great Evanovich. Still tension with Ranger and Morelli over Stephanie. Nice twists.
Always a good read! For all of you fans, right in the beginning LuLu decides to try bounty hunting on her own, catches her man, has sex with him (cause he is hot!) and ends up naked, handcuffed to the bed!
Classic Plum! A great quick read full of the typical humor, crazy situations and of course all the tension with Stephanie and her men. I don't think Evanovich has lost any steam in writing this series - although I can't say it is an original story, it is still so much fun to read that it doesn't really matter!
Between the adventure and the adversity there's attitude and Stephanie Plum's got plenty in this book.
great read

The best Stephanie Plum book to date, I think.
Another great book from the Stephanie Plum series!
Great summer read If you like lots of action, laughs and a little sex thrown in!
As an avid Evanovich fan, I must admit that I've been disappointed with some of her later books. The plots were insipid, the characters boring, and they just weren't as funny. But I'm happy to report that Evanovich is back on top of her game with "Eleven on Top".
Gotta love Stephanie!
As usual a great story.. Kept me laughing the whole time.

Hopefully someone wants it. Its too good to sit on my shelve. If you have read the first ten your ready to start reading.
Stephanie reveals herself to be less than an ideal employee in this novel. I appreciate Evanovich's attempt to shake things up a bit.
The halarious Stephanie Plum is doing what she does best, creating havoc while doing her job as a bounty hunter. Her love life is intriguing, but if you have read them all since "One for the Money" some of the plot lines are really old by now. Still a funny story.
Yet another wonderful Stephanie Plum novel! I've read everyone of them so far, and I love them all!
Hot guys, adventures, & laughs. I love this books series.

Just like always, superb!
very good
A fast, fun read, perfect for when your mind needs a break from reality.
Stephanie Plum is thinking her career as a fugitive apprehension agent has run its course. She's been shot at, spat at, cussed at, fire-bombed, mooned, and attacked by dogs. Time for a change, Stephanie thinks. Time to find the kind of job her mother can tell her friends about without making the sign of the cross.
So Stephanie Plum quits. Resigns. No looking back. No changing her mind. She wants something safe and normal. As it turns out, jobs that are safe and normal for most people aren't necessarily safe and normal for Stephanie Plum. Trouble follows her, and the kind of trouble she had at the bail bonds, office can't compare to the kind of trouble she finds herself facing now. Her past has come back to haunt her. She's stalked by a maniac returned from the grave for the sole purpose of putting her into a burial plot of her own. He's killed before, and he'll kill again if given the chance. Caught between staying far away from the bounty hunter business and staying alive, Stephanie reexamines her life and the possibility that being a bounty hunter is the solution rather than the problem. After disturbingly brief careers at the button factory, Kan Klean Dry Cleaners, and Cluck-in-a-Bucket, Stephanie takes an office position in security, working for Ranger, the sexiest, baddest bounty hunter and businessman on two continents. It might not be the job she'll keep for the rest of her life, but for now it gives her the technical access she needs to find her stalker. Tempers and temperatures rise as competition ratchets up between the two men in her life--her on-again, off-again boyfriend, tough Trenton cop Joe Morelli, and her badass boss, Ranger. Can Stephanie Plum take the heat?

I save Evanovich for when I need a laugh. I love her characters and the ridiculous situations they get themselves into. Caught between staying far away from the bounty hunter business and staying alive, Stephanie re-examines her life and the possibility that being a bounty hunter is the solution rather than the problem. After disturbingly brief careers at the button factory, Kan Klean Dry Cleaners, and Cluck-in-a-Bucket, Stephanie takes an office position in security, working for Ranger, the sexiest, baddest bounty hunter and businessman on two continents. Tempers and temperatures rise as competition ratchets up between the two men in her life - her on-again, off-again boyfriend, tough Trenton cop Joe Morelli, and Ranger. Can Stephanie Plum take the heat? Can you?
Stephanie Plum, Trenton's favorite bondswoman, is having a career crisis, which gives Janet Evanovich plenty of opportunities to showcase her series heroine in a variety of alternative vocations, from dry cleaner to factory worker. Most of them don't last a full working day, which is good for the reader, since it plunges Stephanie back into the always seedy, often dangerous, and always colorful world of fugitives who'd rather flee than face their day in court. She may be tired of having her life threatened, her cars torched or blown up, and her apartment broken into, but one thing she can say about her job is that it's never boring... and neither is she. Despite her intentions of going straight at a job with a little more security and a bit less excitement, an old client won't let her--he keeps leaving her threatening notes, stalking and scaring her, and making sure she needs the protection of the two men in her life--Joe Morelli, the sexy cop who's been bedding her since high school, and Ranger, the even sexier tough guy who can take down the meanest fugitive around but has a tender spot in his heart for the plucky Ms. Plum. All Evanovich fans' favorite characters people this sprightly caper novel, including Lula, the fast-food-chomping former hooker who's hot to take over Stephanie's job but really belongs in a WWE Takedown; Grandma Mazur, who'd rather go to a wake than a fancy-dress ball; Grandma Bella, the matriarch of the Corelli family whose evil eye frightens even the indomitable Stephanie; and Valerie, Stephanie's sister, who's about to embark on another trip to the altar. A great beach read, Eleven on Top is a guilty pleasure that will delight readers of the author's 10 earlier novels and should win her even more fans. --Jane Adams/amazon.com

ELEVEN ON TOP by Janet Evanovich: Stephanie Plum, Trenton's favorite bondswoman, is having a career crisis. She decides she no longer wants to be threatened, beaten, shot at, burned or blown up as a bounty hunter so she resigns. Her first new job is at the button factory but she is fired before she starts as she is late on her first day. Then she is hired at Kan Klean, to the delight of everyone who wants her to take their dry cleaning in for them. That lasted two days. In the middle of her trying to get into a field with less excitement and more security, an old client is talking and scaring her, so, in essence, its business as usual. The regular cast of characters remains in place and, as usual, Stephanie survives none the worse for her latest misadventure. Maybe she is the cat with more than nine lives.
