A wonderful biography of Ella Fitzgerald, with tons of great photos chronicling not only her life, but the history of jazz from the 1920s. Although this *may* have been written for a younger (teen?) audience, it's also perfect for adult readers who want an easy-to-read, yet interesting, look at Ella's life and music.

This is part of the "Black Americans of Achievement" series.
