A novel from an unfinished manuscript by Charlotte Bronte. Quite good.
I absolutely love it! Boylan made you feel like you were actually there. The characters were wonderful and moving. I think the author gave Bronte's unfinished work true justice.

It may not be a real Bronte but but a great read anyway.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Ms. Boylan's discription of Victorian London truly makes it come alive for the reader. Her sense of character development is among the best of writers.
The story is a haunting, sort of mystery/adventure, which addresses much of the social issues of the time. Though I was much impressed with Ms. Boylan's storyline, character development, sense of place and her superior writing skills, it makes me mourn the untimely loss of Charlotte Bronte at what might have been the peak of her literary talent.
I highly recommend this book by Ms. Boylan, especially if you enjoy the 'period' writings of the Bronts sisters, Jane Austen, George Eliot, Wilkie COllins, Edith Wharton, Henry James and/or Mark Twain.

Excellent continuation, very much in the Victorian era/Charlotte Bronte style. Wish it had been completed and published in its day, would have been quite the expose. But I suppose the author would have been vilified for knowing too much. Recommended (even if I'm still a bit fuzzy on the plot).
