I jsut finished reading this one againand found it just as stirring as the first time round. Very enticing in an old fashion way. Emmit is a single father of three, whose wife left him for another man, and who does Emmitt run into, his ex-wifes new sister-in-law. read to see what sparks erupt in Texas.

Emmett was mentioned in another book I read -The case of the missing secretary, by the same author, and so I wanted to know what would happen with Emmett and Melody's story. Emmett hated Melody for helping his ex-wife to run away with Melody's brother, several years before, but it ended up getting over this fairly quickly and they lived happily ever after. A very quick read.
