entertaining book about a werewolf clan trying to survive. Different spin on the genre. Hopefully one of a series as I'd love to see how the leader of the pack and his mate make out.

This is a very well written book. There are many aspects to the story that keep you engaged throughout the entire book. There are a few explicit sexual situations, but they are not overly long in nature. The story is exciting, and will keep you engaged until the end.

I didn't like Nicolas - the overly aggressive, bossy, take charge beta who acted like an alpha. He hunted down and basically kidnapped his mate and transported her to his home for ulterior motives. Maggie is one of those TSTL heroines who really got on my nerves with her "I won't hurt an animal" speech...again and again. Now I have nothing against animals, I personally would hurt a person before I'd hurt an animal. It was just the way she said it.

The ending was ok but a little too pat. It was left wide open for a sequel with the alpha Damian and his mate Jamie. Unfortunately, I didn't like the world building or the other wolves so I won't be continuting this series.

Nicholas was the greatest Draicon (werewolf) warrior until he did the unspeakable - teach a mortal how to use magic. Now he is banished from his pack. Maggie Sinclair is a veterinarian who has sworn to only heal, never kill, all that need her help. When her beloved dog and companion falls deathly ill from an unknown disease, Maggie will do anything to save her.
