Another great installment in the Khan dynasty series. This fourth book covers the reign of Ogedai, the third son of Ghengis. It was interesting to learn that writings from that time period indicated that no one believed the Mongol army could be stopped in its western expansion. Had Ogedai not died, at which point the army returned to Ogedai's city, the course of western civilization might have been very different. The final installment "Conqueror" will tell the story of Gehghis' grandson Kublai Khan. This has been a great series both for entertainment and learning history.
