Delightful observations on the customs, people and especially the food of Provence, France. I actually laughed out loud at some of the dry humor the author reveals. (My husband thinks I am crazy!)You become a traveller while sitting at home, he is that descriptive, yet one of us, an observer. Great read.

This book continues Peter Mayle's adventures of living in France and loving every bit of it.

Another fun visit to Provence, and a good review of my college French, with the French words sprinkled in here and there. I am glad to have read these books in sequence.

i like this book even better than the first one "a year in provence"
It has really made me want to go and I am actively planning for next summer and using this book and the prior one like guidebooks. I want to walk in his footsteps and see the Provence he sees and describes so beautifully
