I wanted to give this all 5 stars but the by half way this book was just dragging, I had to push myself to finish this and at the last 1/3 of the book I had to rush it because I just wanted to get it over with and move on to something else.

For one thing this book is just way too long, it started out fairly good and I thought it was going to be a really good read but it just gets bogged down with too much of everything, too many people involved with too many other things just not necessary.

I love the CIA Team of Will Robie and Jessica Reel, two kiss-ass agents with chemistry. Their handler "The Blue Man" is missing and they travel to his hometown where he was last seen.

The story continues as the team uncovers more missing persons and a scheme of "Doomsday" apartments being sold. it reminded me of all the nuclear bomb shelters built during the Cold War.
(yes, I'm that old, lol). However, this story did not excite me as it usually does. It's worth the read if you like Baldacci but I hope the next one is more stimulating.

This book was... ok. The two main characters, Roble and Reel, don't even pretend to like each other, yet they are forced to work together. Then they go through a bunch of adventures with captures and shoot-outs and lots of villains. Not much suspense, and what would pass as âtwists' were pretty disappointing. What this story lacked is Heart. Very little backstory, leaving the characters too one-dimentional.

Read this as a group read on LibraryThing and loved it! This looks to be the last book in the Will Robie series but hopefully Baldacci will pick this one up again. The characters of Will Robie and Jessica Reel are great and they enhance the story with lots of action and adventure. I look forward to reading some of Baldacci's other series but will be sure to miss this one. If you haven't started this one yet, you should because it is a very entertaining series that I'm sure you will enjoy!
