This reminds me of the Honor Harrington series but not as technical. Very good characters and some plot twists. I enjoyed the whole series and I think this book is setting up for #4. I hope another one is next as you are sort of left hanging at the end wondering what will come next. Do they form the fleet? smash the pirates? C'mon Ms. Moon, let us know!!!

Good read just like all of Elizabeth Moon's book. The third installment of the Ky Vatta series and how she becomes a spaceforce commander.
Very enjoyable space opera. Fans of Moon's earlier Herris Serrano series will like this novel's adventurous Kylara Vatta; and fans of David Weber's Honor Harrington will also find an admirable heroine.

An exciting instalment in one of the more entertaining recent military SF series with female main characters.
This is a wonderful Space Soap Opera with 5 books, and a strong female lead. I enjoyed the first book the best, and went with Kindle for the immediate gratification of reading the next 4 books.
