I received this book as a present, and was very excited to read it. However, the writing makes it a boring read, even though it has quite a bit of social information in it. I did find some information to be helpful, and some that I did not know already. However, I had to make myself finish it, which I rarely have to do with 18th century history.
I'm glad that I read it, simply for the sake of saying that I did. However, I am also glad that I did not pay for it.
