This thriller starts out with the death of a member of the British Royal Family, but that is just a tip of the proverbial iceberg. Silva has written another fast paced page turner. Full of compelling characters, this story takes you all over Europe, Russia, London, Ireland and back again. His 'hero' Gabriel is brave, daring and intrepid, as always. This is his 15th outing, and hopefully not his last.

The back cover says "Gabriel Allon is a cross between Jason Bourne and James Bond." I hope that means he's done with the simpering wounded martyr routine he was doing a few books back.
