I had this book around for quite a while but just got around to reading it, and I was surprised how enjoyable it was. It kept me up late, finishing the story! It's a little bit angsty but not too much. I liked that the heroine was slightly older, a widow with a young son. I also liked that even though the heroine has her doubts about the hero, the reader also sees his point of view and we know that he is acting honorably. The spy subplot is fairly believable. I also didn't realize it was the 3rd of a trilogy, now I how have to go read The Disgraced Marchioness and The Outrageous Debutante.
