After reading this book, I now realize just why Dave Ramsey is so popular. With his no-nonsense straight talk, he carves through the reasons that we have problems with our personal finances in this country and tells people how to get out of debt and become rich in both our finances and our personal lives. His writing style is uncomplicated and entertaining, drawing on references and examples from his own counseling to quotes from celebrities and the Bible, his approach is direct without being condescending. He does contain religious references in his material, but I do not believe that they would be offensive to those who are not religious. The references merely demonstrate how his faith and personal beliefs are interwoven into his "whole package".

Through this book I gained a great deal of insight into the issue of contentment and how it relates to my finances. There were areas where I struggled with this and did not even realize it. A great book to help not only improve finances, but also address the root of financial problems and financial success. Must read!
This book was great. At first it was boring but then as I read along I took a bunch of good notes to serve as reminders.
