Fascinating view of woman as Harvard Medical School student. Also commentary on student/wife/mother conflicts and joys. Very enjoyable and readable style.

Interesting true story of a medical student's experiences.
An interesting visit to the life of a medical student... a good read that can be fascinating and frighening all at once. If you like Michael Crichton's Travels or Five Patients, you may appreciate this look at the experience of juggling medical school, family, and responsibility of making decisions about life and death. A realistic, critical look at the making of a doctor, it will open your eyes to the the often chaotic and unsure "science" of human health care and those who practice it.

Memoir of life as a (female) medical student in the mid-80s. Interesting and enjoyable, with a nice voice, though I didn't find any unusual insights.
