Unfortunately, this appears to be a "concept novel" in which the author writes the book to prove an idea rather than to bring full-blooded characters to life on the page.

It's a portrait of unfathomable wealth and upward mobility that asks: Who deserves what?

The main character is remote and cold. It's hard to identify with her or care about what happens to her.
