Kelly Maloy is short on cash so she accepts a job as a driver for a man who she is told will be in town for business. Though her fare is definitely sexy, there is also an element of danger about him - dead bodies seem to appear wherever he does. Kelly finds herself in the middle of an epic struggle to save first her city of Houston and ultimately all of humanity.
Eternal Pleasure is this first installment in the planned Gods of the Night series. 9 evil spirits led by a leader referred to as Zero plan to take over America city by city, and Kelly's lover Ty and his fellow disembodied souls (dubbed the 11) are the only ones who can stop him. I assume that future books in the series will be set in different cities. Hopefully Kelly will be along for the ride, as her feisty nature is a welcome change from the testosterone-laden 11.
Though the romance aspects are kind of cheesy, this book would be a pleasant escape after a bad day at work. There are vampires, werewolves, former dinosaurs... lots of creatures for paranormal romance fans.

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. This series will be a keeper.
It puts a spin on immortals. Especially when you're tired of the vampires, werewolves, ghosts and shapeshifters. Imagine dinosaurs, yep that's right. The Eleven are shape shifters with the souls of dinosaurs and I'm looking forward to meeting them all.

Book #1 "GODS OF THE NIGHT" SERIES.
Fin, summons 10 souls on November 11, 2011 at 11:11pm (11-11-11)and gives them a new name and a different human body than what they had 65 million years ago. They are called the "ELEVEN". Their enemy "THE LORDS OF TIME".
lots of suspense about the ELEVEN and who they are or I should say what they are. Their soul purpose, defeat the enemy *before December 12, 2021 at 11:11pm WINTER SOLSTICE. Thats when the clock will reset to zero, and time on EARTH BEGINS AGAIN. They can not let that happen, not again.
THIS SERIES WILL HAVE EVERYTHING, BAD BOYS, ROMANCE, SUSPENSE, SEX, WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR. OH RIGHT, GREAT STORY/PLOT, HAS THAT TOO.

If you like strong alpha male types, it's worth a read. I had a hard time getting past the initial concept of exactly WHAT these guys are. But it's a pretty good love story with a decent female in it who seems to have common sense (something I personally always look for) and a hero who's way beyond tdd (tall dark and dangerous). I'll read the next one in the sries!

I loved this book. As far as I'm concerned Nina Bangs hit all the high points with this debut series. It is a departure from her Castle of Dreams fantasy series but I personally like it better. The characters are well developed and completly believable. The plot kept me interested and the action kept right on moving. And most important to me she never left me confused or wondering what the %$#! just happened (which is one of my Biggest Buggaboos)
OMG I almost forgot MAJOR KUDOS to Ms Bangs for establishing the most orginal paranormal platform ever. If You haven't read one of the eternals yet I won't be the one to set the scene but these aint your ordinary paranormal heroes. If you love paranormal fiction Get This Book. Actually Wish List it. cuz you can't have mine.

Wow what a concept! Eleven reincarnated Gods fighting ten evil almost Gods. Vampires, werewolves, all kinds of shifters. This is a paranormal lovers paradise. Eleven hunky, gorgeous good guys who shift into something un-freaking-believable. And normal everyday, though very pretty, heroines. This book featured two of the eleven and one of the ten so I'm thinking many books in this series to hit all the characters.
If this is your kind of thing, you're going to love this series.

Didn't care for this one, and didn't finish it. The premise just struck me as so poorly concieved. A group of men who posses the souls of dinosaurs (I really wish I was kidding) are given human bodies and set loose in order to defeat a group of beings intent on whiping out the human race in 2012.
I was actually willing to go along with the whole dinosaur thing, even the rediculous names (Ty for Tyrannasauras Rex, get it?) but just couldn't stomach the main characters and their overblown, poorly written personalities. Ty basically acts the alpha male, destroying and killing and thinking of sex. Jealous, emotionally stunted, but oh so gorgeous. Kelly, meanwhile, had great potential--she's a musician, in touch with her emotions, rational, etc. But then the supernatural stuff starts happening and she's...unphased. She just kind of rolls with it, doesn't once try seriously to get away, or have an emotional breakdown, or demand full disclosure on this new supernatural world she previously thought existed only in books. I mean, I know she's supposed to be tough but I find this reaction to be so unrealistic.
The instantly in love thing going on between Kelly and Ty only annoyed me further. His wanting her I can understand--he's a prehistoric beast, of course he'd want sex from a beautiful woman. Her attraction to him, fine. Afterall he is good looking and has some kind of do-me aura. But that they should form a whole emotional attatchment based on no more then that was irritatingly tacky. This is the first Nina Bangs I've attempted. I'm sorry to say it will likely be the last.

This book was ok. It was a little far-fetched with the dinosaur soul thing going on, but still an alright read. Definitely fits in the paranormal romance category. Not sure if I am going to continue the series though.
Not especially humorous [as her Woo-Woo Inn or Castle of Dark Dreams are] with action plots. Obviously intended as part of a series but only 2 out so far. Good read.

different from others for sure. i liked it because of the other ways of the characters being dif. changing forms so huge then having human feelings
Didnt really care for this book it was just too out there for me, I normally like they way out there kind of stuff but not this one. It seemed like every other page they where talking about sex and come on now you dont have to do that to have a good story.
