I was disappointed in this Superromance because it was more about the hero's ex-wife who was experiencing domestic violence than it was about the hero and the heroine. It seemed repetitive and unrealistic to me. The nurse character didn't give us much hospital excietment and the "recluse" seemed to always be out driving around.

I've got to admit, I wasn't blown away by this story. I wanted to love it (just look at that cover) but it never really grabbed me. Usually a book like this can be read in a day or two but I really struggled to finish it as I never connected to the main characters.
I thought Ethan was a bit wishy-washy and changed his mind frequently about how he felt about things. Maybe this was suppose to be growth in his character but he just never really clicked for me. I was especially incredulous of his reasoning behind not going to the police. If it had just involved him, maybe, but he had a young child at home so why would you take a chance. For the most part, I enjoyed Leah. Until the last bit of the book. I just don't see why she would go out with virtually a stranger when all her senses told her to be weary of him. Yes, she was trying to get over Ethan but I don't think a smart sensible person as she had been portrayed so far would act so out of character. I loved the setting for the book and passed my copy on to my Mom to read just to see if it was me and not the characters that I didn't connect with. I'll report back later on her take.
