This innovative creative writing book is based on the notion that inspiring ideas can be found in the everyday ordinariness of our lives, even in the murky soap bubbles in the kitchen sink. The enjoyable and inviting exercises are designed to lead you to those ideas and to help you work with them, whether you want to write poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction. Superb text book for creative writing classes.

I happened across this book in a school library one June when I was teaching summer school, and I found some of the exercises exciting. Now I have the time to do them at my leisure. The book is filled with useful prompts and valuable suggestions for the creative writer.
