This is a great book with geography in a nut shell. All the essentials no frills. Just the bare basics you need to known. Great for those questions that pop up and for students.
Information about the topography, climate, natural resources and history of 150 countries.

Frankly, I don't read that many geography books but I learned a great deal of history, topography and political alliances in this little volume. I really liked the quiz at the end of each section. It let me see just how much I learned by reading this book.

I cannot imagine giving this text to a student; it is definitely geared to adults.
