I mostly enjoyed this book although the title character was a little too ditzy for my taste. She finally did get it together in the end.

I enjoyed this book and I breezed right through it. Since Susan was a missionary in Russia it had great descriptions of Moscow and loved the way she described her characters. It had a bit romance, a bit comedy and a bit travelogue. I am now reading the second in a series of three.
Interesting story about a missionary in Russia and adapting to life in the year she spent there.
This book is truely wonderful. To the Praise and Glory of God, through Jesus Christ. One of her best books.

Josey is a Minnesota girl who volunteers to be a Missionary in Russia for a year having no idea what she getting herself into.
Josey finds herself in Russia as a missionary unable to speak but a few words of the Native tongue. She has to deal with a thieving room mate and a love life that is frozen as the Minnesota winters she spent back home.
Sometimes the book was heard to follow because the main character day dreams, but it was a nice ecclectic read.
