I think this was by far, my least favorite of all the books written by Jonathan Kellerman. Even though I have previously read all of the Alex Deleware books, I am seriously considering never buying another. To say I was disappointed, would be putting it mildly. The book is a very sloooow read and the plot has no excitement....

J Kellerman's Alex D series has been my favorite series for years..This book was a bit of a disapointment as I feel Alex wasn't working his usual psychological role...he was instead a side kick and it was his Detective buddy Milo who really had the lead role in this book. Part of the reason I like Kellerman's books is because of the psych it was my major...so this was a bit of a let down. It is a great book to get from this club or in paperback..it wasn't work the cash I paid for it in HC...Still it has a decent story line just not great..I would give it a C-

Two bodies are found in the half built skeleton of a mansion in a ritzy section of LA. The young couple are posed in a sexual manner and soon Milo and Alex are on the case. The female victim is unidentified but the young man is ID's as an eco friendly architect with a taste for seducing women. The exception is his boss who is indifferent to his death which soon puts her on the short list of potential killers. But as usual with Kellerman, things are not necessarily what they seem. Once the female victim is identified there are are more suspects on the list including a reclusive Asian prince, an ex lover of the male victim or perhaps her husband. The story moves rapidly with some surprising twists and turns as Milo and Alex find themselves dealing with potential eco terrorists as well as the potential political ramifications of pursuing the prince. A cracking good read with less of the phycological discussions from other books and also less of the annoying Robin.

Twisty, twisty plot. Really good Kellerman!

From back cover:
In a half-built mansion in Los Angeles, a watchman stumbles onto the bodies of a young couple--murdered and left in a gruesome postmortem embrace. Veteran homicide cop Milo Sturgis is shocked at the sight: a twisted crime that only Milo and psychologist Alex Delaware can hope to solve. While the female victim's identity remains in question, her companion is ID'd as eco-friendly architect Desmond Backer, notorious for his power to seduce women. The deeper Milo and Alex dig for clues, the longer the list of suspects grows. But when the investigation veers suddenly in a startling direction, it's the investigators who may wind up on the wrong end of a cornered predator's final fury.

Two of my favorite fictional character's are Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis and in his new book, Evidence, Jonathan Kellerman has them together again working on a double murder case. Two bodies are found at an abandoned construction site left posed by the murder in a suggestive manner. The male is a eco-friendly architect Desmond Backer and the identity of the young woman is unknown. The list of suspects include Backer's very "controlled" boss Helga Gemein, a Sranilian prince and numerous girlfriends of the dead Lothario.

Kellerman continues to excel at his craft. As usual there are many plot twists and turns, just when you think you know who the killer is and why the couple were killed something new pops up and off Delaware and Sturgis go again following a new lead! I can truly say that this book was well worth the hours I spent reading it! Bravo Mr. Kellerman!

This is the 1st Kellerman I have read. Given that I have a lot of other authors to read, it'll be a long while before I get back to him. Plot was interesting with twists at the end. But way too much "cutesy" dialogue...it's almost as if the author decided to find a hip way to say something. Interesting but I don't think real cops talk that way...well maybe in California they do.
