From page one, you become invested in the lives of Karl and Stan, two guys trying to carve out a living in the Occult Crimes Unit. They solve murders for all sorts of creatures, whether it be witches, vampires, werewolves or something else.
Not only is the dialogue slick, the humor dark and the cosmos of supernaturals and humans trying to live in the same world, but the action is brash and exciting! This is actually the second book in the series, the first being Hard Spell. However, you can read Evil Dark as a standalone. Evil Dark is a thrill to the very last page - definitely pick this one up!
