I love Alafair Burke's writing. I've read a few of her earlier novels and really need to finish the rest. This one is a standalone and does not disappoint. The characters are likable and the plot is fast-paced. Burke's knowledge of criminal justice makes for an edge-of-your-seat mystery and a real page-turner. The twists and turns kept me guessing until the very surprise ending. I look forward to reading the rest of her novels and I highly recommend this one to those who love a good mystery.

This was an interesting mystery thriller and well written. I listened to the audio book. The narration was excellent. I enjoyed it but the outcome was too obvious. There were a couple of surprises along the way but I could see where it was going from very early on. I still liked it and I will read more of this author.
