Shay Goldstein loves her job in public radio. But she doesn't like the station's newest employee, Dominic Yun, who is constantly referring to his master's degree in journalism. Dominic was put on the air right after he was hired. Shay has worked ten years as a producer but always wanted to have her own show. When the staff is called in for a meeting about the station's sagging ratings, Shay pitches a new idea. How about a show about relationships hosted by exes? The boss loves the idea and wants Shay and Dominic to host it. Both are hesitant. They must lie to their listeners making everyone believe they once dated then broke off their relationship...or they can lose their jobs.

I'm not a big fan of contemporary romance, but I read a review of this book and thought it sounded interesting. It is written in the first-person point-of-view which I usually don't care for when I'm reading a romance. But it worked for this book. Chapters with excerpts of their podcast also appear in the book.

I really liked Dominic. It took a little time for Shay to grow on me. Their conversations on-air and off dealt with some heavy topics, including grief and loneliness. I borrowed the audiobook from the library. The narrator, Emily Ellet, did a very good job with the characters. My rating: 4 Stars.
