The writing is well done. The character's intreging. The plot interesting. But I didn't like the book. It took traditional storylines and turned them around in ways that were uncomefortable for me to think about. I'm sure many people will find this a wonderful new twist on an old classic...but it's not for me.

Merlin is not a magician but a detective using the same powers as Sherlock Holmes. Nice twist.
