I thought this book was beautifully written, evoked its time wonderfully and was really very funny. It won't be for everybody,but for me, someone who enjoys reading about England and thinking about women's roles, it was perfect.
I am not quite finished with this book, how ever it is well written and follows the history of the early 1900's well. The charcters are realistic down to the type of clothing & social life of the time. The story line engages a variety of people of interst.
I would recomend it to any one who enjoys a bit of history & life of women in this period.
