Wow! What a nail biting, fast paced thrill ride! I don't think I have ever read a book quite like it! It kept me up into the wee hours. It is full of twists and completely unpredictable. I will be reading more by this author!

This one was one heck of a roller coaster ride. So many ups and downs and it never stops. It was never boring and very hard to put down. Loved some of the characters. Especially the down-to-earth heroine.

A kidnapped little girl locked in a stranger's van. No help for miles. What would you do? Darby Thorne decides she needs to do something about this situation. This book is definitely an edge of your seat thriller. It was a fast-paced read with well-developed characters. Lots of surprise twists kept the pages turning. It would definitely make for an excellent movie. I enjoyed it but it did have a bit of unnecessary gore in a few places. I look forward to reading more from this author and I would recommend this book to those who love suspense thrillers.

Wow, I must give this 5 stars since I started this book and finished in one sitting. It was an intense, thrilling roller coaster ride that didn't stop throughout the story. There were twists and turns one after another that we're unexpected and shocking. The only flaw I found was the 6 year old girl was a little too sophisticated for her age, but it certainly didn't take away from this heart-stopping experience.

I loved this book!

The heroine is stupid enough to be in a horror movie. The villain is almost as bright as she.
The plot uses every trick in the mystery writer's toolbox.
To me it was just a fairly well executed formula book.

Wow! What a great, roller coaster of a book. You might see one or tow of the twists coming, but not all of them. I was glued to the pages. Very entertaining book.

One tiny little pet peeve: There is NO SUCH THING as "winter daylight savings time," a phrase which is used multiple times in this book. In America, we have Daylight Saving Time (there is no "s" on the end of "saving") in summer, and we have Standard Time in winter. That's it. An editor for a house as big as Harper Collins should know that.

Still - good book. :-)

This is a one day read, full of plot twists that actually are surprising. This book is not for the faint of heart though - there are references to child abuse and mistreatment of animals. Nothing too graphic, but if you are looking for a cozy about knitting or something, this would be a hard pass.

This book gripped me from the very beginning. I read it all in one day - a real page turner. It has a couple of good surprises. Also, some witty dialogue from the bad guy. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because a few things were over the top (don't want to add spoilers) and the attitude of the little girl does not ring true. But, it was an exciting read and would make a great movie.

5 star!
Don't start this book unless you have time to read, because it is very hard to put this one down. I loved it.
