One of the most inspirational, positive books I've ever read. This is regardless of the fact that it focuses on individual freedom and anarchism: a favourite personal topic of mine. Amidst essays and editorials on anarchism, communal living, intensely localised community cohabitation and cooperation, and examples of direct action, a narrative of students occupying a college campus knits everything together. It is clear that there are forces at work that wish to "keep us all in line," so to speak, and a book like this illustrates the how and why it is important to speak truth to power and oppose such forces for the good of not just ourselves, but for the good of everyone.
I have yet to read a more vibrant treatise on the power and necessity of individualism and self-rule. Once you read it, you will attempt things you've never attempted in your life. It is that good. I can't recommend it enough.
