This was my first Gardner, and I was quite impressed with it. Neat worlds, neat concepts, neat characters, neat use of glass. A definite fun but thought-provoking read.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read but the characters I really liked and the premise was a good one. The author leaves room for a possible sequel which I would like to see happen!

Pretty interesting sci-fi -- my husband and I both enjoyed the premise that people are sent to a certain mission because they are considered expendable, and many don't survive. The planet they go to is pretty nasty. Good character development.

All of Gardner's Expendable universe books are excellent. I like how he carries Festina Ramos over into the other books he writes.
