Another in the Luis Mendoza series. This time he has the bizarre murder of a French girl that leads him to Paris, an old man smothered in his hospital bed, a polite holdup artist nicknamed Baby Face, a Hollywoood matron who disappears while visiting a sick friend and a grizzly murder of a family that just moved from Wisconsin keep Mendoza busy pounding the pavements in search of answers during a major heat wave.
One of the better series of police procedurals. This one is entertaining as always.
