Lisa G. (plum-marie) - reviewed The Explosive Child: A New Approach for Understanding and Parenting Easily Frustrated, Chronically Inflexible Children (Fifth Edition) on + 117 more book reviews
Fairly easy read considering it is a "thinking" book and not a novel. It seemed a bit repetitive and that the main points could be covered in less pages.
Mainly talks about that children want to do well and that what makes them explode is lack of skills:
Flexibility
Adaptability
Frustration tolerance
Problem Solving
Not sure how much of this will be implementable with my preschooler, her language skills are pretty high so maybe she can talk about the joint problem solving but her ability to sit still for the discussion is yet to be seen.
