Ian Merchant is a highly successful horror writer (think Stephen King style) who has a writer's block, a desperate publisher, and a stalker who is becoming increasingly invasive. Ian is also a new Christian seemingly cut off from any faith-based support. The novel brings Ian's faith and his livelihood together. Not the best book I've ever read, but still good.

This was a really interesting take on what could be any horror writers experience after being born again. I erally enjoyed it and found it very suspenseful.
