After the death of their mother, Lottie and her brother Cameron, come back to their childhood home. Cameron soon becomes involved again with his old flame, Elizabeth, who is now married to someone else. However, tragedy enters their lives in a way that no one expected and no one understands. A good read, from the author of "While I Was Gone", sympathetic characters.

"Themes in the book include love (of course) both romantic and familial, identity, loyalty, maturation, and conscious living. It is not a tale packed with action- though it decidedly lures us with a "what will ever happen?" plot thread." amazon
death,romance and childhood secrets.
Lottie Gardner, her brother and their childhood friend reunite in their hometown after years of separation. Lottie is witness to the rekindling of an old romance between her brother and friend and the intrusion of a senseless tragedy as a result.
Story about childhood friends now adults, dealing with death and their pasts. Super great book & author.
Enjoyable and I could not put this book down. Another of Sue Miller,s engrossing tales of the dynamics of relationships and the way we view them and ourselves.
One of my favorite books, I love this story about a family torn apart, secrets, and how their tale interweaves with longtime neighbors. Complex family relationships and a mystery unfolds.
Wonderful tale...... kept moving. Enjoyed.
Interesting characters.

What will we do for love...
