I enjoyed this book. It was well written and told of her adventures climbing the different mountains. Expecially when she climbed Danali with her team of men. They had quite a time with the storms on this particular mountain. If you like this genre you will like this book.

I have heard the author speak in a book store. I enjoyed the story as she is a consummate climber that trained very hard.

Interesting, but the author should have researched geography and history of Denali climbs in greater detail. Having been on Mt. McKinley, I find it difficult to accept her attitude of help your self, and let others do the same. She, along with others, experienced conditions almost impossible to imagine. But there is a definite macho theme of "I saved the group". She was a strong member of the "group", but just that, a member. The two climbing guides saved the group, and rightly so.
Too much repetition and not well written. A far superior climbing adventure read is John Krakauer's Into Thin Air.
