I had been afraid that this would be a gossipy tale about the show, but instead, it was a delightful collection of stories from Lisa's life, documenting her journey of faith. There were some real gems here that spoke to my heart. I kept finding myself reading portions of it to my husband, because there was much we could relate to. Any Christian that delights in stories of God's work within the lives of others will be able to appreciate this book.

A good book. Lisa Welchel sounds like she is very down to earth. Like sitting down and talking with a friend.

Interesting autobiographical book by Lisa Whelchel, actress on The Facts of Life.
Remember Blair from the Facts of Life tv show in the 80's? This is a memoir about her Christian life over the years and now.

Fast and easy read full of inspiration.
Great book full of truths and vulnerability from Lisa Whelchel!! An easy read, but there are definitely some thought provoking gems inside.
This book is absolutely wonderful. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I am, but it is not only entertaining, but moving. I appreciate Lisa's honesty and her warmth. Her testimony as a Christian mom and woman is great. Definitely recommend.

Lisa writes in a very informal, hilarious style and this book was a quick read. Although it was fast, there were some very encouraging & inspiring ideas! I have made a lot of notes about some things I'd like to try for myself. (Also, if you grew up watching Blair like I did, you will find it a neat bit of "celebrity" background!)
Fun reading!
Pretty, blond child-star Lisa Whelchel was cast as a snobby rich girl on the wildly popular eighties sitcom The Facts of Life, which is still delighting fans worldwide. But who is the real woman behind the actress? How did she escape the downward spiral that often follows a rapid rise to fame? This book is an intimate self-portrait, Lisa talks candidly about the key events that shaped her life choices in the crucible of childhood of fame.
