I'm so disappointed! This was a lukewarm romance at best, one that simply felt like a forced effort to complete an overlong series. I enjoy unrequited loves, but Deverill was not a man I felt was worthy of Kate. Even the one thing that tied all the books together--the death of family members in a freak shipwreck tragedy--concluded without living up to the promise of getting some satisfying answers. The author could have given me that much, at least. 3 stars.
