I have books 1 & 2 in my TBR pile, but when I saw this one on the library shelves I picked it up immediately. I prefer to read a series in order, but found it was not really necessary to read the first two books in order to fully enjoy this one.
I thought this was a terrific "read". Expertly narrated by Tim Gerard Reynolds, I really felt that I was immersed in inner city Dublin. The story grabs you immediately and never lets go. The characters are very well written and Ms. French's writing is terrific. I'm moving her first two books to the front of the TBR pile and look forward with anticipation to her next effort. Very highly recommended.

This was a very interesting book (audio) with some twists and turns that kept one wanting to extend their speed walk (that's what I do when I listen to audio books) just to hear the next sequence. It is not your usual mystery as character development seems as important as plot. I will say though in the end the book did become predictable and the author wrapped the story up for us in a nice package. But the journey to get to this package was well worth it especially if you are moving on the journey.
