A really fun read,it took a great imagination to come up with these characters. The story is sexy, funny, and keeps you guessing. My favorite Crusie so far.

I'm sure there were plot holes a mile wide, but I just can't seem to care when it comes to Crusie. This wasn't my absolute favorite of hers, but it ranks up there. Here's to suspension of disbelief, a glass of wine, and a good book.

I love Jennifer Cruise's books and this one was no exception. From the first page it had me. I read it in less than a day and enjoyed every moment of it. The characters were so diverse, so lovably whacky, that you couldn't help but liking them and wanting to know how their lives turned out.

I very rarely give a book a 5 star rating, but this story is downright hilarious and deserves the highest. What a cute movie this book would make. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely LOVED this book! It's the first read of mine for this author and the day after I finished it I was at the book store looking for her other titles. It's sexy, smart and just quirky enough to make you laugh out loud. At times it reminded me of The Maltese Falcon, no one is who you think they are and everyone is bumbling around trying to cover up a crime that isn't what you think it is.

Reformed art forger Tilda Goodnight reluctantly joins forces with semi-reformed con man Davy Dempsey to steal a dubious painting and several million embezzled dollars from a lethal widow named Clea who has targeted a mild-mannered art collector as her next dearly departed. Complications include her sister, the female impersonator, his best friend, the reformed cat burglar, a recidivist embezzler named Rabbit, a hit man, some lousy sex, and a jukebox. Touble ensues....

This book is the best book I've read lately. The dialogue and characters are witty, offbeat and funny. I'm looking for more of this author's work!

This is volume two of the Dempsey series and is one of my favorite Crusie books. She is a master of the romantic comedy and this story is compelling, funny, and compulsively readable. Highly recommended.

What a fun read! But then, anything by Jennifer Crusie is bound to be full of imagination. You can't go wrong.

Quirky characters...most from a dysfunctional family. This book is humorous, light, a great summer read. Several times I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face.
