Toby Peters had worked with all the Hollywood greats-- Mae West, Bela Lugosi, Flynn, Groucho, Cooper-- but he never expected to find the First Lady sitting in his office (the one he shares with Sheldon Minck, the less than antiseptic dentist). But she was there, and she had a problem: Someone had kidnapped Fala, FDR's prize Scotty, and left an imposter in the Oval Office...

Toby sets out to prove to Eleanor Roosevelt that he can, indeed, do better than simply recognizing her, but there are elements loose on the streets who plan to keep Toby from enjoying any fireside chats... even if it means murder.

Helping Toby work his way through a maze of dead bodies, dirty deals (old and new), and right-wing fanatics are Buster Keaton, Sheldon Minck, Jeremy Butler-- as comfortable with a headlock as a sonnet, and Toby's best friend, the Swiss midget Gunther Werthman.
