My first from Marion Zimmer Bradley. I found it to be rather tritely written. One of those books that you read and read and read and it seems to just keep going... but there's nothing really you can put your finger on that you don't like. I even sort of liked the story, it just didn't touch me.

I am a fan of Mists of Avalon and read this because it is supposed to be part of that series. I found it difficult to read and confusing at times. I made myself read it all because I hope that having the background information on these characters will make a difference when reading the other Avalon books. It didn't suck, but it wasn't good either. Just my opinion though!

This book is a must read for anyone who is a fan of the Mists of Avalon. Although the writing is not very good, in my opinion, you
MUST read it to understand the Mists series. It's a retelling of the Atlantis story -- the ancient people of that land misuse their
powers and finally must leave their ancient home behind. They are the ancestors of the people in the Avalon books.

I have read "The Lady of Avalon" and "The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley and I think "The Fall of Atlantis" is the best of the 3! This book is a real page turner. I could hardly put it down and finished it in 2 days. I loved the plot. I loved the characters and I loved the ending. One of my favorite books!

Not a bad yarn. A bit long and involved for my taste, but excellent character development. Copyright 1983
