Wow! Not what I had expected! Let me start by saying that I (1) am an atheist and (2) I do NOT read romance novels. That being said...
...this didn't read like a romance novel. I've only read two other books by Margaret Weis and this one was just as an engaging read as the other two. The plot has a nice unique design and the characters were easy to relate to, 3-dimensional, and grew through the novel.
I didn't find it to be too preachy or religious and (much to my tom-boyish pleasure) it wasn't too sappy or chick-flicky for my tastes, either. ;)
Whether you've got a soft-spot for angels (fallen or otherwise), a liking for paranormal romance, or just want a good fantasy-based love-story; I definitely recommend this book!

Absolutely fabulous. This duo is great. Some bits of religion, but not overwhelming. Leans more to spirituality than true religious talk. Yeah, still brain candy, but has you thinking about as well about the nature of good and evil.
Was not what I had anticipated when I requested it. Found it slow paced, a bit pretentious and preachy. Typical plot, nothing really new or exciting.
The book was ok.. but the ending really was rushed. It was confusing to me and just didn't mesh well. It was like some parts were missing. This book was classified as a paranormal romance? It's hardly that at all. Not what I expected at all.
