This is an excellent book. Very powerful story about a young man's tour of duty in Vietnam.

Although billed as 'teenage reading', would not limit it to just that. Having experienced Viet Nam, found this book very relevant to any age. An in depth pursuit of what it was like in the 'trenches' of Viet Nam during the Tet Offensive. The author was well acquainted with the technical and emotional elements of combat at that time. Excellent narative of a typically tragic and true story.

As a veteran of the Greater Southeast Asian War Games, I feel this book is a good fictional introduction of that conflict to young adults. I especially liked the depiction of frustration in those men fighting the war.
